The Festival of Transport
For vehicles private, commercial and military.
We would like to invite owners of these vehicles to come and join us, and take part in this rather unique Festival of Transport event.
Briefly, the vehicles will start to assemble at Frimley Park Hospital, Camberley, in the visitors car park, which has been reserved for this event, by 12.30pm. All vehicles must be assembled, under the marshal's directions, by 1.00pm.
In the car park, will be the organisers tent, music from the British Legion Brass Band, announcements and incidental music by Radio Frimley Park. Refreshments and toilets will be available.
All vehicle will park in there designated areas under the direction of the marshals. Taking part will be the Mayor and Mayoress of Farnham Town, Rushmoor, Surrey Heath and Waverly. Also joining us on the day to support us will be surgeons, doctors and members of the hospital management.
The procession will start at 1.15pm, lead by Sir Ray Tindle, driving his 1904 Speedwell Dogcart. There will be many rare and interesting vehicles talking part, and we would like to thank their owners for supporting, and spending the day with us. The journey to Farnham is about 10 miles, taking us from Frimley through Farnborough via the A325 to Farnham.
We would like to ask the vehicle owners and there passengers to join in the spirit of the day by dressing up in period costume or fancy dress. Also, could we ask that owners and drivers please stay until the end, as you and your vehicle's are the main public attraction. If you need to leave early, can you please let the secretary prior to the day or an official on the day at the Frimley start point. This is primarily for health and safety reasons.
